YT Industries – 'Young Talent' SeriesI worked with SHIFT active media to direct, film and edit a series of 7 short films and one feature documentary created to explore the meaning behind the YT name 'Young Talent'. Each film spotlighted a different character, showcasing their unique path and the mindset that defines their 'Young Talent', an ex-gangster turned animal rescuer, a triathlete nun and YT's own mountain bike athletes. The final documentary centred on YT’s CEO, telling the origin story of the brand and its evolution.The campaign launched with unbranded teaser content seeded into the MTB community to spark intrigue, before revealing the full branded series across social, digital, PR, and influencer channels.The campaign reached over 12.5 million highly targeted viewers within the MTB community. Social content drove 800,000+ engagements and over 770,000 video views.

Himalayas - Annapurna massifAs part of a six-person UK-based team, I travelled to the Himalayas to film two ambitious feature-length cycling documentaries over two weeks. The team consisted of two filmmakers, two production support crew, and two professional riders. We worked in close collaboration with a skilled Nepali support crew of local fixers, mountain guides, drivers, and porters.Filming took place at high altitude on the Tibetan Plateau and over the Thorong-La Pass - one of the highest trekking routes in the world. I rode alongside the athletes, capturing unique footage in remote environments accessible only by mountain bike. The challenging terrain, altitude, and logistics demanded creative problem-solving, physical resilience, and a strong collaborative approach to production.

Pure Darkness - Freeride MTB film seriesPure Darkness is a pioneering freeride mountain bike film series that pushed the boundaries of what was possible in MTB filmmaking. As a key creative and technical contributor, I was involved from concept development to filming and post-production.Working closely with a core crew of elite freeriders and filmmakers, we captured some of the biggest and most progressive jumps ever built at the time. The shoots required a deep understanding of rider dynamics, precise camera coordination, and the ability to work fast.The series quickly became a cult hit within the MTB community, racking up millions of views across social platforms and cementing Pure Darkness as a benchmark for raw, high-impact freeride visuals. Our small, agile team thrived on location-driven filmmaking, where trust, timing, and creativity were essential to capturing the scale and intensity of the riding.Pure Darkness evolved into Darkfest, which continues to be the biggest freeride and big air event in the world.
